Ready to take your electric guitar’s performance to the next level? Whether you're a seasoned player or just getting started, The Workbench clinic with EGW is the perfect opportunity to dive deep into the essential skills that’ll keep your instrument in top shape and sounding amazing.

The original idea for The Workbench was a 10-20 attendee class that would cover a little of everything. These classes would require renting an auxiliary space, which ultimately complicated the process and was the primary reason for the delay. With the new EGW workspace, there is adequate space to hold small clinics, but changes the scope a because the smaller the class, the more specific the needs are.

So I’ve reengineered The Workbench as one-on-one learning; each class individually tailored to the specific needs of the student. Five different classes to chooses from.

1) Basic setup class

2) Pickup and electrical component install class

3) Demystifying Floyd. Floating trem setup class

4) Fret leveling, crowning, and dressing

5) Total Refret

I prioritize success and personal growth above most everything - and I believe that teaching effectively in this way is more than a lecture. And in addition to being interactive, the teacher and student should be comfortable - getting any “ice” broken so learning is exciting.

These day starts at the shop. We chat and talk about you as a musician and person - what are you goals and stumbling blocks? Then we prioritize what you need from me to make it a successful clinic. Then we dive in. We’ll break for lunch and keep talking guitar or whatever is on your mind. Head back to EGW and finish the job. Then debrief on what you learned, and make sure that you’re comfortable moving forward so you have the skills and knowledge to do it again on your own.
