WORKSHOPS & CLINICS

Ready to take your electric guitar’s performance to the next level? Whether you're a seasoned player or just getting started, The Workbench clinic with EGW is the perfect opportunity to dive deep into the essential skills that’ll keep your instrument in top shape and sounding amazing.

This isn’t your average guitar class. It’s not just a lecture or something you can pick up from a YouTube video.

It's a combination of lecture-style teaching, Q&A sessions, and hands-on micro-workshops, where you will have dedicated time to apply the skills you've just learned directly on your own instrument. I’ll be there to guide you one-on-one through every step, ensuring you get the most out of the experience.

What You’ll Learn:

  • String Changes & Setup Basics: Learn how to change your strings the right way, and how to set up your guitar for maximum playability from string height to neck relief.

  • Floating Bridge Fundamentals: Whether you have a Floyd Rose or another floating tremolo system, I’ll walk you through the setup and adjustment process. You'll learn how to keep your bridge in perfect balance and avoid the frustrations of tuning instability.

  • Truss Rod Adjustments: Master the truss rod to ensure your neck stays in perfect alignment. Say goodbye to buzzing frets and hello to smooth, even action.

  • Intonation Adjustments: Get your guitar in perfect tune all across the fretboard, ensuring you’re always playing in pitch no matter where you are on the neck.

  • Fret Dressing & Leveling: Learn how to maintain your frets for smooth, buzz-free playing. I’ll show you how to identify worn frets, and how to perform a fret level and crown to restore your guitar’s feel.

  • Soldering & Pickup Swaps: Ready to upgrade your tone? Learn how to safely solder and swap pickups, including tips on wiring and ensuring everything’s connected correctly for optimal sound.

But I've already got YouTube...

  • Hands-On Experience: This workshop is all about getting your hands dirty (in a good way). No more watching tutorials or reading manuals. You’ll work on your own guitar and get guidance from me every step of the way.

  • Small Group, Personal Attention: I'm capping the class at 15 students to ensure you get plenty of one-on-one time. Whether you’re troubleshooting a specific issue or learning something new, you’ll get all the attention you need.

  • Expert Instruction: With years of experience in guitar repair and maintenance, I’ll guide you through every step, share tips and tricks, and answer all your questions, so you’ll leave with knowledge that goes beyond the basics.

  • Level Up Your Skills: From fret dressing to soldering pickups, this workshop will give you the confidence to do your own guitar work. No more costly repairs or waiting for someone else to fix what you can do yourself!

  • Not Just a Lecture—Real Learning: This isn’t just a lecture course or something you can find on YouTube. It’s a combination of lecture-style teaching, interactive Q&A, and micro-workshops where you’ll apply the skills directly to your own instrument. I’ll be there to guide you one-on-one, ensuring you leave with the confidence to maintain and modify your guitar independently.

Let's do this!

This isn’t just a class, it’s a chance to empower yourself as a guitar player. With only 15 spots available, the class size is small to ensure personalized attention and maximum hands-on learning.

Sign up now if you're interested in being contacted when enrollment begins. You’ll be the first to know when the class is open for registration, so don’t miss out!
